Be on-time to every occasion, especially to sunday service and fellowship
2) Be more involved with our church, be an active member
3) Enjoy each other and help to build each other up in every aspect of our relationship
4) Be faithful in our prayer and devotional life
5) Find and develop our passion as a couple

Miso Updates

Year 2005 is full of God's provision and blessings. Looking back, God had been guiding us in every way, even at those time when we were foolish and ignorant. Of course the biggest thing in 2005 was our WEDDING! God was so faithful to us and He really made our wedding day a blast. It was full of joy and His grace.

God also provided an one-bedroom apartment for us in Camarillo. Though the place is small, it is cozy and fill with love. We can now call this little place "Our Home". Michelle is not working at this time, but God provided BSF (Bible Study Fellowship)for her in Thousand Oaks on Thurs morning. She just loves the study of Genesis and she volunteers to take care of the kids every Tue for BSF leaders. We are praying that when she finds a job, her job will allow her to attend BSF on thurs morning.

Our green card process is also in progress. Solomon did all the paperwork in order to petition Michelle, so you can pray that the process will go smoothly and it will go the way God desires it to go. At this point, Michelle has to re-do her fingerprint, so please pray that this will not delay too much of her work permit.

We are thankful for this first year Christmas as a married couples. We did not buy a Christmas tree (we just got no room in our little apartment), but we put together a Christmas wreath for our door. We also got some Christmas lights for our little window, it is quite pretty too. We enjoy our little home. Michelle continues to cook good meals for Solomon and Solomon continues to preservere at his work, so that he can win BREAD to feed his family. (ha... what a hero!)

The Christmas Gathering for the Cheng's family will be in Santa Rosa this year and we think this is a great opportunity for us to re-visit Petaluma and Santa Rosa area. (Since we both were there before) Michelle went to high school in Petaluma and she went to SRJC for 3 years. Solomon were in Petaluma just for a couple of years, but at that time he was only 8 years old. We will be driving up this Fri evening. After Christmas we will attend WCCCC from Dec 26-29. Please pray that the conference will run smoothly and may every conferee who attends will be transformed by the Almighty work of God. We both are serving at the conference this year, so you can pray that we will not be too distracted in term of learning God's Word and responding to His calling. Please pray that God will speak to us through the conference as well.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Salmato Invention

I created a dish last night and it was GOOD!!!!!! Pastor Weidman invited us to join their membership class and we feel that this is a good church for us to settle in and grow together with. We both admire our pastor because of his character and love for his flocks. We are often encouraged by his sermon and his life example.

Every sunday we attend this sunday school seminar that is led by Pastor Weidman and his wife, Amy. This sunday class is challenging because it brings the very issue of one-self onto the table. What kind of issues? Issues of one's vision, dreams, passion and mission. These topics are big and not everyone has the time to really sit down and think about what they really want to do for God. This course gave us direction to begin these thoughts and we are learning how to reply on God as well as helping others to be dependent on Him. Sol and I found this class to be very helpful for our beginning of marriage, we are being coached on our future direction and how should we plan our future together. Without this course, it may be harder for us to sit down and talk about our planning in such detail.

It is great to be in the Body of Christ, we are able to give and receive encouragement from one another and keep spuring one another on.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
(Hebrew 10: 24-25)

On the wedding night

God remembers

Wed morning dialog:

Solomon: "Honey, I found my calculator!" (Sol was holding his backpack with tremendous amazement on his face)

Michelle: "Huh?" (Still in bed, eyes were hardly open)

Solomon: " I have no idea how the calculator got here, but it is back!" (Sol continued with his astonishment)

Michelle: "O wow, God answered our prayers, He knows your needs!"

*****************************************************************
You must wonder what is a big deal about this story. I can tell you that this is a big deal because God not only helped Sol to find his calculator, but He once again revealed himself to us and reminded us that He remembers us.

Last week Sol went on a business trip to Cincinnati and Detroit. He always carries his calculator with him because it is for his work and it is his alarm clock. He came back last Thurs night and he did not realized his calculator disappeared until Sunday night. We both thought he probably left it at work, so he said he would go check at work on Monday. So on Monday I was emptying out his suitcase during the day and I found no calculator in the bag.

Sol came back on Monday night (after his programming class) and asked if I have seen his calculator when I emptied his suitcase, I said "No, I did not see it". Then I pulled out the case and he checked. Afterward, he began his calculator search at home, he looked through his laptop bag, his backpack, his suitcase, his work laptop bag and he even looked by the bed. We did not see any trace of this calculator, so he decided to call the hotel in Detroit and see if they found it. I was praying that the hotel would have it and hopefully they would be willing to send it back to CA. Sol left a message with the hotel manager and the manager said he will call him at work if they found it.

On Tue night (last night), we were praying over Sol's work. He was stressed and feeling inadequate with some of the projects. We prayed and I said that God is stretching him through different things. We were praying about being dependent on God fully and trusting Him to provide strength and wisdom.

So this morning (Wed), Sol somehow found the calculator being in his backpack. To us, this is astonishing because Sol just used his backpack on Monday for his class and he had looked through this bag. Plus Sol never brought his backpack to his business trip nor he used his calculator on last Fri since he did not even know his calculator is gone till Sunday. We honestly have no idea how did the calculator got into his backpack, but God certainly answered our prayers. God reminded us that He is there to provide what we need, which includes encouragement and affirmation.

Sol was really happy that he found the calculator and beyond that, I think God's revealing power had helped him to deal another tough day at work. Sol went out the door with confidence and I am so thankful for what God had done. Our God always remember us. When we call upon Him, He will answer and rescue us.

Prayer for the miso

Solomon and I decided to create this new blog for our updates. Even though Yahoo 360 and Xanga are both pretty good, but they were mostly for my pleasure. I promise this one will focus on BOTH of us - the MISO!

Prayer items:
1) We are praying for wisdom on the greencard application process. We decided to file the application ourselves and please pray that we will not miss any details while filing. Our goal is to finish all the application this week.

2) Pray for a healthy start of our new marriage.
